The municipality of Slivo pole- a lovely place of our beautiful homeland- is comfortably situated to the East of Bulgarian Danube pearl – the town of Ruse: with its 276 km2 of the bengin, fertile and green Danube plain, on the main road between the towns Ruse - Silistra and at the same time fascinating with the boundless beauty of the wheat waving under the light summer zephyr, changing the view with proud forest missives of broad-leaved forests. On the North slowly and nobly weaves the silver ribbon of the Danube, pouring life and heart to this wonderful piece of land.   
   Each of the eleven villages has its own spirit, flown in the wings of the age-old history still hiding heaps of unrevealed secrets. With the culture- historical monuments of the last centuries, of which there are genuine documents and uncontrovertible data, in front of us stands unexplored archeological monuments, people are telling legends and stories about- Thracian tombs in the villages of Babovo and Kosharna, the antique Rome village of Apiaria in the village of Riahovo, traces of the neolith era.
   The sanctuary of Kalimok – Brashlen is a place of a great interest in the alternative tourism sphere. A part of this reservation is on the territory of Slivo pole region. Various species of the animal wildlife has been hoard, represented by 230 kinds of birds, which is 58 % of all the birds in Bulgaria, reptiles, amphibians and mammals, rare an endangered species – recorded in Bulgarian Red book.
   The biggest treasury of the municipality, however, is its people connected with the idea of prosperity and steady development of their homeland, nevertheless their ethnics appurtenance, traditions and religion that bring much more color in their every day's life.
